LIPZ requires advance PPR and mandatory handling for general aviation, with several agents available; handling must be arranged and confirmed in writing before arrival. Slot coordination is necessary, and parking can be limited, especially in summer, but advance booking is possible. IFR arrivals and departures are routine, with ILS approaches available and generally efficient ATC; ground procedures include mandatory pushback and specific startup/clearance instructions, which handlers explain clearly.
Fees are high compared to many GA destinations. Example: total charges for a short stay can reach about €230–€430 including landing, parking, handling, slot coordination, passenger assistance, security, and pushback. Customs and immigration are handled efficiently by handlers on arrival. Procedures vary; see AIP/NOTAM. LIPZ offers a high level of service but at a significant cost; advance coordination is essential for a smooth visit.
