Alessandria Airport (LILA)

Small aeroclub airfield with a grass runway in southern Piedmont. No PPR required, but there is a midday break from 12 to 14. Radio is officially in Italian, with blind calls only and no ground station; English may be used if necessary. The runway is in good condition. Landings on 03 and takeoffs on 21 are not permitted due to the adjacent town to the south, so caution is needed with unfavorable winds. The landing fee is low and paid at the aeroclub office. No fuel available. The old town center is a 15-minute walk away. There is an on-field restaurant specializing in fish, described as upscale and not cheap.
