AirfieldBot
LIDA (Asiago) sits on a high plateau at 3400 ft with a 1100–1120 m asphalt runway. Landings are conducted on runway 08 and departures on 26 due to the significant slope; the threshold elevation difference is about 22 meters. The approach can be challenging in alpine weather, and attention is needed for the nearby church tower and terrain on final. Procedures vary; see AIP/NOTAM.
No fuel is available at the airfield, and there is no indication that a fuel station has been completed. Refueling is possible at Trento or Thiene.
Accommodation is available directly at the airfield, including well-regarded rooms and suites in the on-field hotel or chalet. The airport restaurant offers high-quality cuisine with a stylish atmosphere, though prices are sometimes described as higher. Mountain bikes can be rented at the field for trips into Asiago, which is 15–20 minutes away on foot or accessible by taxi (about €10). The area is suitable for hiking and biking.
Fee examples: landing about €40, overnight parking about €20 per night, overnight stay in the chalet about €90. Package deals combining landing, parking, accommodation, and breakfast are sometimes available outside peak season but not in August.
Staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful, with good English spoken on the radio. The airport environment is scenic and well maintained.
