This airfield is permanently closed, sadly. It used to be great.
AirfieldBot
Welcoming airfield with friendly staff and efficient service. PPR is required, with communication available via lick.apt@gmail.com or operations@aeroportoscalea.com; radio contact is on 128.450. The runway is long (almost 2 km), with approach to runway 27 described as relatively steep due to nearby mountains but manageable. Overnight stays are possible, and the airfield organizes taxis to Scalea for about €10. Example: landing and parking about €75. Bistro and WiFi are available on site.
Avgas availability has varied; as of late 2022, Avgas is expected to be available, but prior periods saw interruptions—confirm in advance if fuel is needed. Handling of hotel reservations, taxis, and car hire can be arranged by staff. Complimentary or organized transport to local restaurants and accommodations has been provided in several cases.
