Landed there Summer 2025. Another Italian aviation gem! Very nice GA airfield, with Avgas and unleaded Mogas available (paid by credit card). Landing/parking fees negligible. Taxi to downtown L'Aquila about 20 minutes. Beware of high elevation/density alt., glider towing operations (do not overfly gliders too low while they wait on the runway threshold) and high terrain surrounding the airport.

Nice airfield in L'Aquila with a great restaurant on site. Avgas, Mogas and Jet A1 are available. Very relaxed atmosphere and close to the town center.

IFR arrivals require cancelling IFR at altitude and continuing VFR due to terrain; descent is delayed, and the approach is demanding for faster aircraft, but the runway length is sufficient.
