Civil Airfield Jakabszallas (LHJK)

LHJK is a privately owned airfield with a 600 m asphalt runway and a 900–1000 m grass runway, both well maintained. The field operates PPR and is uncontrolled; the radio is not always staffed, so standard calls and vigilance are required. The grass runway is also used for glider winch launches. No customs on site, but customs can be arranged with 72 hours prior notice at LHUD, about 20 minutes away.

A hotel (Aero Hotel) and restaurant are directly on the airfield, offering accommodation, Hungarian cuisine, and amenities such as a swimming pool, sauna, squash, bowling, and conference rooms. Rooms are described as simple but clean; double rooms cost about €70 per night with breakfast included. Hangarage is available for several aircraft by request; hangar fees are typically about €10 per day or €70 per week, but hangar use is often included for hotel guests. Parking space is ample.

Avgas 100LL and Jet A1 are available; however, the fuel operator is not based at the field and may require significant waiting time (over one hour) for fueling. Flight plans can be filed at the hotel reception.

No landing fees are charged. Example: hangarage about €10 per day. Car rental is available from the hotel owner at a per-kilometer rate.

The airfield is suitable for VFR operations and as a stopover for intra-Schengen touring. Procedures vary; see AIP/NOTAM.
