Handling is mandatory. Handling fees are reported as about €30, with an example for AOPA members at about €25. Landing fees may be waived for club aircraft. Customs costs about €10 per aircraft with two crew. No avgas is available; only mogas (via the local aeroclub) and Jet A1 can be obtained. GoldAir Handling assists with hotel arrangements. All formalities are typically completed efficiently, sometimes within 10 minutes if the flight plan is pre-filed. The airport is described as small with little traffic and short walking distances. Check official opening hours in advance with HCAA. Bureaucratic procedures can be lengthy, especially for departures, so allow up to two hours for handling, general declaration, landing fees, weather briefing, and flight plan verification.
