AirfieldBot
Karpathos (LGKP) requires PPR, which should be arranged about a week in advance with Skyserv. The airport is not operated by Fraport. AOPA membership provides a 50% discount on handling fees. Handling is generally required, and service is described as friendly and motivated. Strong winds are common but usually align with the runway; gust locks and tie-downs are important. AVGAS is not available, but Jet A1 likely is.
Fees are described as fair or not expensive. Example: landing and handling for 14 days about €30 with AOPA card. Taxi to town is approximately 10 km, with car rental offices located downtown rather than at the airport; pre-arranged cars may only be available when airliners arrive, so advance planning is advised.
