Military/Civil Airfield Cuers Pierrefeu (LFTF) IFR

LFTF offers a long 1900x30m runway and operates primarily without AFIS or tower; landings are often made with blind calls, though military tower may be active at times. The airfield is VFR only and situated in a basin with surrounding higher terrain, but approaches are generally straightforward. Parking is exclusively on grass, which can be uneven or overgrown. Landing and parking fees are officially posted but enforcement varies. For aircraft up to 1.5T MTOW, parking is €10 per day; for 1.5–2.5T MTOW, €30 per day; above 2.5T MTOW, €80 per day. Example: landing fee about €10. Payment booths may not always be staffed.

Avgas is available at the field, typically paid by standard credit card, though fuel cards are not accepted. Fuel service is generally friendly and responsive; during lunch (12–14h), fuel may only be available with a BP card. Maintenance services are present on site.

The airfield restaurant "St EX" offers basic food and posts local taxi contacts; quality varies. Ground transport options are limited: Uber availability is unreliable, but several local taxi drivers serve the field (e.g., WhatsApp +33623077378). Walking to the nearest bus stop in Pierrefeu is about 4 km and can be challenging in hot weather; bus connections along the coast exist but require a taxi to reach the stop.
