LFRZ is primarily an Airbus facility but accommodates general aviation with straightforward IFR and VFR procedures. The airport now offers an RNP LPV approach to runway 25, with IFR handover to and from Nantes Approach. Customs and immigration are available with 24-hour prior notice, and officers arrive punctually for departures. The apron is usually quiet, with tie-down cables available for parking.
Facilities include a small terminal building, which may be largely unstaffed except for fire personnel, and a small restaurant in the airport building. Fuel (100LL and Jet A1) is available; Jet A1 can be paid for in cash via the fire brigade if needed. The fuel pump may only accept French credit or Maestro cards, but assistance is available for cash payments.
Ground transport options include taxis (numbers posted in the terminal) and private hire cars arranged via apps like Turo. The local bus does not reach the airport entrance, but public transport offers affordable access to nearby towns and attractions. Airbus factory tours require advance booking.
Example: landing fee about €10.
