Handling is mandatory for non-based general aviation aircraft. The Aero Club de Loire-Atlantique can provide handling for light and sport aviation flights with prior permission; otherwise, airport handling agents such as MAP Handling Freight, Air France, Aviapartner, or Regional must be contacted before departure from the origin airport. Contact numbers and emails for these agents are available in the official AIP. For Aero Club handling, PPR is required via +33 2 40 75 13 16.
Landing fees are described as very reasonable for a French regional airport. Example: landing fee about €20. Parking is available on stands India or Juliett as directed by ATC, with parking areas specifically designated for visiting aircraft.
Fuel is readily available; the fuel truck can be requested by radio and typically arrives promptly. The Aero Club is helpful with various needs. Security control for departures is located in a separate building near the Aero Club and may require up to 20 minutes to clear.
Accommodation is available nearby, with crew rates at Hotel Oceania across the road from the terminal. The police office is located just across the apron from GA parking.
The airport has significant airline traffic and a large layout; careful study of taxi routes is recommended to ease ground movements. VFR flight plans can be filed by telephone if needed, and IFR flight plans can be filed electronically from the cockpit.
Procedures vary; see AIP/NOTAM.
