The airfield is not closed anymore, you can fly there! The paved strip is OK but the taxiways are just soso - keep RPM low to avoid prop damage. We talked to one of the guys from the club and he proudly told us that there was Avgas and Mogas available. We didn’t refuel, so I can’t tell how much fuel is. No landing fees.
Salon is ten kilometers away. We took our folding bikes to get there, it‘s completely flat. The town is touristy but it’s really good for an afternoon stroll, a drink in one of the bars and a nice dinner.

The airfield lies near a military base and within a restricted airspace; approach requires radio contact with Salon Approach or Salon Tower. The field has two long, wide, but very stony runways.
