Civil Airfield Nimes Courbessac (LFME)

LFME offers a wide, long grass runway with a somewhat uneven taxiway and generally firm but occasionally rough surfaces. No tower or AFIS is present, and there are no landing or parking fees. Approaches are coordinated first with Nîmes Garons (English possible), then switch to A/A Courbessac (French). The airfield is close to Nîmes city, but walking is impractical; access to the city is available via a bus stop about 200 meters west of the exit with service every 15 minutes, or by taxi (04 66 29 40 11) costing around €20. Fuel (BP Avgas/100LL) is available only with assistance from the Aeroclub du Gard and must be paid in cash. Example: landing fee about €10.

Facilities include hangars in the northwest area and helpful support from the Aeroclub. Restaurants, shopping centers, and hotels are located nearby. Approaches from the north offer scenic views such as Pont du Gard.

No PPR or midday closure applies, and procedures for IFR departures require contacting Garons Tower on the ground. Procedures vary; see AIP/NOTAM.
