Airport Chateauroux Deols (LFLX) IFR

No landing fees apply for aircraft under 2,000 kg MTOW. Customs and immigration are available with PPR, typically requiring a few hours’ notice; in some cases, 24 hours may be needed. Self-service fuel is available, with quick turnaround and payment by card or cash. Staff are described as friendly and efficient. The terminal is small with minimal facilities—vending machines, coffee machine, and toilets—but a well-regarded restaurant (L’Escale) is about 5–15 minutes on foot and open extended hours; hotels and other restaurants are also within a 10-minute walk. FISO speaks English and is easy to follow. Preferred runway use is to/from the North for noise abatement, though runway 03 may be used depending on wind. The airport has a long runway, little commercial traffic, and is suitable for quick fuel or customs stops when crossing France. Gendarmerie may check documents on arrival.
