Angers Marce Airport (LFJR)

LFJR offers both VFR and IFR operations, with ILS, LOC DME, NDB (timed), and GNSS (LNAV/LPV) approaches available on runway 26. AFIS operates during most of the day; outside tower hours, auto-info procedures apply, and pilots may need to make air-to-air calls in French. The airport is well equipped with a modern terminal, self-service Avgas available 24/7 by credit card or BP card, and Jet A1 also available. Refueling is generally self-service; after tower closure on Sundays, BP pumps may shut off automatically. High visibility jackets are mandatory on the apron.

Customs require PPR by email (preferably 48 hours, but 24 hours is often accepted); contact bsi-angers@douane.finances.gouv.fr or aeroport.angers@angersloireaeroport.fr for arrangements. Customs officers meet arrivals for passport and licence checks when arranged. The airport is about 20 km from Angers city; taxi or Uber rides cost around €50.

Facilities include a well-regarded restaurant, café/bar in the terminal, free WiFi, and an aviation museum open afternoons. The apron exit is accessible via an automatic gate at all hours; outside operating times, entry to the airside area may require assistance or use of the automatic gate system.
