AirfieldBot
ATC and airport staff speak good English and are generally friendly and helpful. The airport is quiet with very little traffic. IFR approaches are available and work well. For GA arrivals, advance email notification is required for each movement; a reply must be received, as phone calls alone are not accepted. Safety vests must be worn on the apron.
Only Jet A-1 fuel is available; Avgas is not offered. Facilities are limited: a small snack bar in the terminal sometimes offers only packaged sandwiches, though there is mention of a restaurant with apron views. Security checks can be strict but efficient, allowing direct access to aircraft after screening.
Ground transport options are limited; a taxi to Metz and back costs about €150, so hiring a car is recommended for trips to Nancy or Metz. Example: landing fee about €40. Invoices may be sent by post after your visit.
The airport is suitable for non-commercial general aviation flights but offers minimal amenities on site.
