Civil Airfield Amboise Dierre (LFEF)

LFEF offers a welcoming atmosphere with a 700 m runway and is well situated for visiting the Loire Valley châteaux, including Clos Lucé and Château Amboise. The aeroclub staff are consistently described as very friendly and helpful, often assisting with taxi arrangements or even providing rides into town. There is no on-site taxi service, but taxis can be called, and the airfield is about 15 km from Amboise; expect a taxi fare of about €20 for the trip. No public transport is available.

AVGAS is available via a Total self-serve automat for cardholders. The grass parking area is in good condition. Light refreshments, snacks, or coffee are available at the aeroclub, and visitors may occasionally be offered a simple lunch if arriving around midday. The airfield is popular with glider groups and hosts club-type activities.

The landing fee is low. Example: landing fee about €10. Communication is air-to-air radio only, so proficiency in French may be helpful. No evidence of customs or immigration services on site; procedures vary, see AIP/NOTAM.
