Civil Airfield Ampuriabrava (LEAP)

LEAP is a busy airfield with significant parachuting activity, including tandem jumps and multiple skydiving aircraft operating throughout the day. Coordination with Ampuria Radio in English is straightforward, and no PPR is required for arrivals. Pilots are advised to pay close attention to parachutists, especially yellow canopies, and to avoid overflying the field during active skydiving operations. The circuit and radio procedures are described as relaxed and uncomplicated.

Avgas and Jet A-1 are available on site, with payment by credit card accepted. A maintenance facility with German management operates on the field. Overnight parking is available on grass or asphalt by request, with tie-downs recommended; pilots should bring their own ropes and anchors for grass parking. The Hotel Castell Blanc is a five-minute walk from the airfield and is recommended by several pilots; additional hotels are within walking distance.
