Sinj Airport (LDSS)

LDSS is an uncontrolled, long grass airfield in very good condition, situated on a plateau near Sinj east of Split. The runway measures approximately 1000 by 60 meters and is suitable for general aviation and gliding activity. Operations require prior notification, typically via phone or email to aeroklub_sinj@yahoo.com. No landing fee applies, and outdoor parking is available at low cost; parking with tiedown is about €30 for one week. No fuel is available on site, though occasional mogas may be arranged by request or via a short drive to a nearby station.

Facilities include a bar or café next to the field and a restaurant at the airfield. Taxis to Split take 20–40 minutes, costing around €50 if arranged through the airfield or about €80 otherwise; bus service to Split is also available with an approximate travel time of 50 minutes. The town of Sinj is accessible by taxi in about 5 minutes and offers a historic center with local amenities.

For visual approaches to RWY08, pilots should note a large grass stadium on short final. The airfield is regarded as a friendly alternative to Split airport for general aviation, but procedures may vary; see AIP/NOTAM.
