Expensive and not exceptional. Everthing worked, but nothing special about it.

Information from pirep.io:

Description: Destin Airport is incredibly convenient to Florida's gulf coast. The FAA has an online course regarding the airspace in the area because there are numerous military airfields and special transition procedures to navigate through the area. Review the procedures if you plan to fly to Destin. It's not hard, it's just a little bit special. (Or go IFR and then just pretend airspace doesn't exist...) Elgin AFB is 6 nm north of Destin, and they'll call out pattern traffic at VPS to you as you're on approach to Destin. If the winds favor landing to the north (i.e. Runway 32), be prepared for flying at 2000' over the Gulf of Mexico while 10 miles from shore. It's easy to get an Uber or Lyft to your hotel or resort. Henderson Beach State Park has a nice little walk through the sand dunes and some camp sites, though it's geared more towards RV camping.
