Diepholz Airport (ETND)

Long, paved runway with both military and civilian use; the airfield is generally quiet with low traffic. The control zone is active only when military operations are underway, otherwise standard information service applies. Civilian operations are common, and the airfield is suitable for training and circuit work. NDB approach exists, and ILS is available without separate approach fees. For aircraft over 2 tons MTOW, operations require military activity or 24-hour PPR.

Fuel is available at moderate prices. Example: Jet-A1 about €2/liter. Restaurant/café on site offers snacks, coffee, and cake; open Wednesday to Sunday. Accommodation for aircraft includes hangar space (Example: hangar about €20). Leihfahrräder (bicycles for loan) and car hire (VW Polo) are available for local transport. The Dümmer See recreation area and Diepholz city are nearby.

Ground staff and flight information service are consistently described as friendly and helpful, with support for weather checks and maintenance referrals when needed. The runway is long but may have some surface irregularities (occasional potholes). Procedures vary; see AIP/NOTAM.
