Civil Airfield Siljansnäs (ESVS)

Airpark with taxiways directly to houses, offering a unique experience for visitors. Avgas 100LL and Hjelmco 91UL are available, typically for cash payment in SEK; Swish is also possible but not accessible to non-residents. No landing fees. Accommodation options include simple huts (about €30 per night), a club house with kitchen, and block cabins (about €30 per night); Airbnb rentals and the nearby Hotel Siljansnäs (2.5 km away) are also possible. Facilities include a shower house with sauna (occasionally cold water), free Wi-Fi in the club house area, and access to a club kitchen; on-site restaurant or bar availability varies. A small aviation museum is located on the field.

Ground transport options are limited: no local taxis, but occasional lifts from residents may be possible; car hire for short trips is sometimes available at low cost. The village of Siljansnäs is 2–3 km away (7–20 minutes by bike or on foot), offering a supermarket and pizzeria; the hotel restaurant is recommended for meals, especially with advance booking.

Circuit procedures require avoiding overflight of villages, with the circuit west of the field. Crosswinds and turbulence can be significant on landing. The airfield is described as uncomplicated and welcoming, with helpful residents and a relaxed atmosphere. Procedures vary; see AIP/NOTAM.
