Civil Airfield Norrtälje (ESSN)

PPR is granted quickly, and Avgas is available with prior arrangement; payment by credit card is possible. The landing fee is voluntary. There is a club house offering soft drinks for sale and a friendly atmosphere. Expect significant helicopter traffic. Runway 07 slopes downward, and the start of runway 25 is somewhat uneven. The airfield website is http://rfk.nu/. A new hangar exists, and the runway has been extended westward. Taxi drivers may have difficulty finding the airfield; the address is Flygfiskvägen 20. The Hotel Roslagen is about 5 minutes away by taxi or around 20 minutes on foot, with a DC-3 on display nearby. A McDonald's restaurant is located opposite the hotel. Procedures vary; see AIP/NOTAM.
