Prices at Grafair 21.07.2026 Piper Arrow 1247 kg MTOW Handling: 226€ Per overnight: 79€ Handling mandatory if staying more than 2 days or if refueling is required. Otherwise, PPR (Prior Permission Required) is possible on a limited basis (limited to 2 aircraft on the field at the same time). Nice airport, and by taxi/Uber it’s only 25 minutes to the city center (ca. 20€). Handling service is excellent. “Free” drinks and ice cream. AVGAS available. BUT: the prices are simply overpriced.

We were at Bromma on 19 Aug 2025 with a Cirrus SR 22. CAUTION: If you haven’t arranged PPR (possible via the website), you must pay a €200 handling fee—even if, like us, you uplift AVGAS. In total, our stay—landing, one night of parking, and handling—cost €377.66. In return, they literally roll out a red carpet at the aircraft, and drinks and ice cream from the refrigerated counter are “free.” PPR for our departure the next day was arranged by the handling agent on our behalf. The airport is very close to the city. It’s about a 10–15 minute walk to the nearest S-Bahn station. You can pay for public transportation very easily at the stops with a standard debit/credit card—just tap your card at the machine and you can ride for 75 minutes. Cool, inexpensive, and super easy! Apart from the price, I can highly recommend the field. Be sure to request PPR in advance; it’s cheaper that way.

Three days IFR in a TBM for a total of 888 SEK, payment upon receipt of invoice. No handling required for < 3.5 t, only slot coordination by the FBO, for which there is no separate charge. New tram line right at the FBO. Unbeatable for a centrally located capital city airport!

ESSB (Stockholm Bromma) is a centrally located airport offering both IFR and VFR access, with ILS available for runway 30 and scenic approaches over the city. PPR is mandatory for all private flights, typically requested by email to bma-opc@swedavia.se; slot coordination is also required for both arrival and departure. Parking without handling is possible for stays up to 48 hours and when no fuel or additional services are needed, but parking space is limited and must be pre-arranged. Handling becomes mandatory if refueling or longer stays are required, with Grafair Jet Center frequently mentioned as the main FBO providing comprehensive services including slot coordination, fueling, parking, and ground transport.
Fees are generally high for a GA airport. Example: landing fee about €60, parking per day about €60, handling about €150–€230, hangar for one night about €300, takeoff fee about €60, slot coordination about €5. Handling includes amenities such as red carpet service, complimentary drinks and ice cream in the Grafair terminal, and assistance with ground transport; taxi ordering is free of charge. For non-handling stays under 48 hours without fuel needs, fees are lower but still significant.
Facilities include a modern GAC terminal at Apron East (Grafair), valet-style parking when using handling, and limited tie-downs on the apron. Hangar space is available at extra cost. A new tram line connects directly to the FBO area; walking distance to the main terminal is 400 meters. Public transport options include buses (Flygbuss to central station), trams (about 30 minutes to city center), and taxis (8 km to city center). Car hire is available at the main terminal.
Operationally, run-up may be performed at the apron edge due to busy taxiways. Slot compliance is enforced; procedures may vary—see AIP/NOTAM for current details. Noise abatement procedures apply; restricted areas must be observed during sightseeing flights in the CTR.
ESSB offers excellent access to Stockholm with high service standards but at a premium price point.
