Unusual and limited operating hours, often tied to scheduled airline arrivals, require coordination before arrival and departure; when the airport is closed, departures are not possible even without ATC services. Entry from Norway is not possible. Avgas availability varies; self-service fuel with card payment is available at the GA apron, but technical issues may require assistance from staff. Landing and parking fees are billed by post; Example: landing plus two days parking about €80. Another example: take-off charge about €60. Taxi to the Icehotel costs around 450 SEK and takes about 15 minutes; fixed taxi fare to town is 350 SEK. On-field accommodation is available in hangar rooms with a small kitchen. Access to and from the airport grounds can be difficult outside opening hours, as gates are locked and staff may not be present; always confirm exit procedures in advance.
