Very GA-friendly airfield with easy handling, friendly tower and terminal staff, and straightforward VFR procedures. Parking on the West Apron is available, and private aircraft may also park at the aeroclub. Ground handling is smooth even during periods of airline traffic. The runway is well developed and in good condition.
Landing fees including one night of parking are about €60. Example: landing plus one night parking about €60. Rental cars can be arranged and delivered directly to the airport; Sixt is available. Rental bikes are offered by ground personnel, with a fee for use.
The airport has good connections to the city, suitable for exploring local attractions or cycling along the coast. Tower and service hours are limited and depend on airline schedules; operations outside published hours may not be possible. Procedures vary; see AIP/NOTAM.
The local flying club is helpful, offering Avgas and assistance with accommodation or transport if needed. Internet access for briefing is available at the club.
