Mandatory handling applies for all GA movements. Handling is typically arranged via WRO-LOT or the online portal, and includes shuttle transfers between parking (usually Apron 4 for GA) and the terminal; self-movement between aprons is not permitted, and a follow-me car is required for repositioning to the fuel station at Apron 1. IFR and VFR arrivals are both supported, with professional ATC and RNAV approaches available. Expect long taxi distances and possible delays, especially if fueling before departure, as invoicing is handled at the fuel apron.
Fees are consistently high for non-commercial GA. Handling charges since 2021 range from about €90 to €180, sometimes including surcharges (e.g., Sunday). Landing fees since 2021 are typically around €150. Parking for one night is about €20. Example: landing about €150; handling about €180; parking one night about €20. Total costs for a short stay with handling can exceed €300. No evidence of fee waivers or reductions for quick stops.
AVGAS and Jet A1 are available at Apron 1; fueling can add significant time due to required coordination and invoicing procedures. Payment is usually by credit card, but currency conversion rates may be unfavorable if paying in EUR rather than PLN.
Ground transport between the airport and city center is available by taxi (about €20) or bus (lines 106/406), with travel times of 20–30 minutes depending on traffic. Shuttle buses handle all airside transfers between aircraft parking and the terminal; walking unescorted on the apron is not permitted.
Procedures are bureaucratic, with mandatory security checks and handling escort throughout airside movements. Plan extra time for all ground processes, especially before departure. The airport environment is busy due to scheduled airline operations (notably Ryanair), which can further increase taxi times.
Customs/immigration are handled as part of standard procedures; no evidence of special advance notice requirements beyond standard handling arrangements.
Wroclaw’s city center is attractive and easily accessible from the airport, but overall EPWR presents high costs and time-consuming procedures for non-commercial GA flights.
