Civil Airfield Dajtki K/Olsztyna (EPOD)

EPOD offers both asphalt and grass runways, with the asphalt runway in good condition and easy to find. UL91 and Avgas are officially available with invoice. Hangar space is available, especially with prior arrangement, and technical assistance is possible. Parking for one night is available, and longer-term parking can be arranged. Example: landing fee about 30 Zloty; overnight parking about 20 Zloty; three days landing plus parking about 250 Zloty. Taxis to the city center cost about 20 Zloty, or the city can be reached by bus for around one euro after a walk of about 1 km; taxi time to the old town is around 15 minutes. The old town of Olsztyn is described as attractive and worth visiting, with hotels such as Hotel Omega offering lake access and an AVIS car rental station.

The airfield can be busy on summer weekends with glider, parachute, and sightseeing flight activity; HEMS and local traffic should be expected. Circuit entry may require attention due to a high tree line on approach to runway 10. Air-to-air communication is standard. Payment for fuel may require cash if the office is closed; otherwise, credit cards are accepted. Staff and club members are consistently described as friendly and helpful.
