Civil Airfield Weston (EIWT)

Weston (EIWT) is a well-organized GA airport serving Dublin, offering both VFR and IFR operations. IFR arrivals and departures are accepted, but some instrument departure procedures are only available at the airport ops desk and not published in standard databases; arrivals may initially use Dublin International STARs before routing to Weston. VFR arrivals and departures require careful attention to local VRPs and restricted areas around Dublin; refer to the AIP/NOTAM and visual approach charts, and be aware of low-level routing over the city with altitude constraints. Operations are daylight only.

Customs and immigration clearance is available with 24 hours prior notice via GAR form (see airport website); for arrivals from outside the EU, 48 hours notice is required. The airport provides a high level of service similar to an FBO, including fueling (Avgas and Jet A1), a lounge with refreshments, and a restaurant in the main building. Wireless LAN is available, and parking is close to the terminal.

Parking fees are on the higher side for GA in Ireland. Example: parking about €50 per 24 hours; landing fee about €40. Taxi rides to Dublin city center typically cost about €40 and take 20–25 minutes; arrangements with local taxi firms may offer rates around €30. Public transport options are limited, so taxis are commonly used.
