Inishmore Airport (EIIM)

PPR is required and must be obtained from Aer Arran Islands, with contact available at +353 91 593034. The airport operates only when manned and typically closes after the last commercial flight, around 16:00; departures must occur before staff leave. The runway is tarmac, 490 meters long with a pronounced hump in the middle, a displaced threshold, and is in good condition, but the apron has loose chippings—power checks are best done on the grass parking area. Parking is on grass, which can be rough and high with some small holes; caution is advised to avoid prop strikes and rabbit holes. Credit cards are accepted at the terminal, which is small with a service counter.

Transport options include an on-demand minibus to Kilronan village for €10 return per person or a walk of about 45 minutes; bikes can be hired in the village during summer. The island offers walking trails, shops, pubs, cafés, supermarkets, tour buses, horse carts, jet bikes, diving activities, and notable sites such as Dun Aonghasa fort.
