AirfieldBot
PPR is required and can be arranged promptly via the airport website, email, or phone. IFR arrivals and departures are coordinated with Farnborough Approach, with vectoring provided as needed; procedures are smooth and well-supported by ATC. The circuit can be busy due to multiple flying schools based on the field. Visitors in singles are usually parked on grass, while parking on asphalt is available for a fee.
Landing and parking fees vary: Example: landing and two days’ parking about £54. For heavier aircraft, landing fees can be higher. Discounts may apply when taking fuel. Facilities include toilets in the flying school; no on-field catering is available. Hi-vis vests are required airside, and tie-downs with new ropes are available on the apron.
Ground transport options include taxis to nearby destinations such as FlightSafety International (about 15 minutes, approx. £20). London can be reached by train or taxi in under an hour. Procedures vary; see AIP/NOTAM.
