Campbeltown Airport (EGEC)

EGEC is accessible and straightforward to operate into, with professional and friendly radio and ground staff. The airport is located in a remote area about three miles west of Campbeltown; taxis must be called in advance and cost about €10 into town. The arrivals building is not always staffed, but someone from the tower will come to assist if needed. Parking is at the east end of the field, north of the runway. Fuel is available only with prior arrangement and appears limited to jet fuel. The landing fee is about €30, including overnight parking. IFR approaches are not available; PPR is required despite regular opening hours.
