ATC opening hours are limited, with only a few scheduled flights per week; outside ATC hours, arrivals remain possible—see NOTAMs for details. Hangar space is generally available but requires advance coordination with "Kunnossapito," preferably during weekday office hours; access to the hangar also needs prior arrangement. No Avgas is available; local pilots refuel using canisters. Example: taxi to the city about €30. Train to Helsinki takes about 4 hours and costs around €50.
Landing fees and associated charges vary by service and duration. Example: total charges for landing, two nights parking, passenger, security, and terminal fees about €110. Payment is typically invoiced after the visit. The terminal includes a snack bar and bakery, and there is a large aeroclub area.
Procedures and access codes for terminal entry may be posted on the apron side; pilots must leave their address and aircraft details in the main terminal after arrival. Procedures vary; see AIP/NOTAM.
