IFR and VFR operations are available. The airport has a large apron with space for both airliners and small aircraft, and ramp staff are present, though attention to small aircraft may be limited. Self-service Avgas 100LL is available at the cargo apron; payment is by credit card, but instructions may be unclear. After fueling, transport is provided from the parking area to the terminal. Planning facilities include a small open space with a computer and fax near the info counter.
Fees include landing, parking, and a terminal navigation charge. Example: total charges for landing, two nights parking, and terminal navigation about €90. Payment is handled at the info counter in the terminal; some reports mention leaving details there and being driven back to the aircraft. Taxi service is easily arranged from the airport call center; a taxi to Turku costs about €40, while the bus is about €5 per person. The city center is accessible by public transport or on foot.
Hotels such as Scandic Plaza and car hire (Europcar) are available in town. The airport provides briefing support for general aviation, and Turku offers cultural attractions within walking distance. Procedures vary; see AIP/NOTAM for operational details.
