Tampere Pirkkala Airport (EFTP)

Tampere-Pirkkala offers 24-hour tower service with both IFR and VFR operations. The airport uses a self-service AirBP fuel pump, accepting BP Card only. GA parking is available on Apron B and at the Aeroclub east of the main apron, though spaces are limited and both areas can be full; access to the Aeroclub requires early coordination with the tower to open an electric gate. Exiting GA parking is via a revolving door opposite B4, but non-local pilots may find re-entry challenging as the walkgate system favors local phone numbers.

Landing and approach fees for international flights are processed via QR code or online registration, with invoices sent by email. Example: landing international about €40, overnight parking about €20. For an MTOW of 1315 kg, combined landing and approach fees are about €90. The runway is kept clear efficiently in all weather.

A bus (line 106) connects the main terminal to the city, departing in coordination with scheduled flights; it is about a 5-minute walk from GA parking to the terminal. Uber costs around €50 to town; local taxi apps are less reliable. On-field toilets may be locked but airport fire personnel can assist. Car hire is available at the airport.
