Suomussalmi Airport (EFSU)

Small airfield located 13 km from the nearest town, surrounded by forest that has been cleared for better runway visibility. The 15 m wide concrete runway is narrow but easy to spot and approach. Wildlife is kept away by a new fence, though reindeer have been noted in the area. Facilities are minimal: a small hangar (locked), no other infrastructure except a basic toilet, and a very small apron with tie-downs using concrete buckets. No staff present during visits.
