Mariehamn Airport (EFMA)

Mariehamn (EFMA) is accessible for general aviation, with both VFR and IFR operations possible. The airport operates with limited tower hours, published according to commercial traffic; outside these times, arrivals and departures are permitted using blind transmissions on the published frequency. For IFR departures when the airport is closed, clearance must be obtained by phone from Helsinki control before start-up, valid for 10 minutes. NOTAMs should be checked for current tower hours and fuel availability. When landing outside ATC hours, there are typically no landing fees.

GA stands are located on the southern apron. Exit and re-entry to the airside are via gate O2 or a gate next to the terminal, both requiring a code—make a note of this code for access. The terminal offers free internet. Avgas (100LL) is available only when ATC is present and supply is limited; payment by credit card is accepted at the self-serve pump, but prices are high.
