Tallinn Airport (EETN) requires mandatory handling for all GA flights, with no special packages for piston aircraft; handling is provided by GH TLL. Fees for landing, handling, and short-term parking have increased substantially, with multiple examples from 2022 showing total charges between about €500 and €800 for a short stay. Example: landing, handling, and two days’ parking about €610. Some pilots have reported lower fees in previous years, but current charges are significantly higher, and even brief stops incur high costs. No prior notice or PPR is generally required for GA arrivals.
Handling includes transport between the aircraft and terminal, but there is no dedicated GA terminal. Security procedures are strict and can be inconsistent; boarding passes may be required for departure, and security staff may enforce commercial passenger rules on private crews. ATC service is described as professional and efficient for both IFR and VFR arrivals.
The airport is close to the city center. Taxis to the city cost around €10–20; public bus line 2 also connects the airport to downtown. The city of Tallinn itself is highly regarded as a destination.
Facilities include Avgas availability (advance coordination recommended), payment by credit card, and standard airport infrastructure. There are no reports of maintenance or hangar services specific to GA.
Customs/immigration procedures are standard for an international airport; no special advance notice is mentioned beyond flight plan submission. Procedures vary; see AIP/NOTAM.
Tallinn Airport offers efficient operations and good access to the city but imposes very high costs on non-commercial GA flights due to mandatory handling.
