Civil Airfield Ithwiesen (EDVT) PPR

EDVT requires PPR, which is easily arranged by phone. The airfield features a single runway with a 7% slope, used in one direction only; approach to 32 is notably steep due to the gradient. Pilots should calculate 1–2 altitude gates and plan for a standard descent rate. Coordination with glider operations is essential—monitor for gliders in the air and possible winch launches, and communicate position clearly. Parking is typically in front of the clubhouse at midfield, where drinks and snacks are available at shaded tables. No landing fee is charged, but voluntary contributions are welcomed. The on-field atmosphere is friendly and supportive. A bistro called "Bikertreff auf dem Ith" is located near the upper runway end.
