Radolfzell Stahringen Airport (EDSR)

PPR is required, especially on summer weekends, and is usually granted by phone. Operations include aerotow, self-launch gliders, and parachuting; winch launches are no longer available. The grass runway is generally in good condition, with occasional softness after rain and some bumps when taxiing to 01; it rises slightly to the south. Noise abatement procedures favor landings on 19 and departures on 01, with quiet flying expected.

Fuel (Avgas and Mogas) is available with card payment only. Bicycles are available at the airfield, with about 15 minutes to the lake by bike. Walking to Stahringen train station takes about 10 minutes; from there, Radolfzell is a 10-minute train ride, and the lake shore is 50 meters from the station. The area offers attractive hiking in wooded surroundings.

A well-regarded Italian restaurant operates directly at the airfield. Accommodation can be arranged quickly if needed.
