Schwandorf Airport (EDPF)

EDPF features a well-maintained grass runway, generally smooth and suitable for aircraft with retractable gear, though some sections may be slightly uneven. The airfield is surrounded by scenic lakes and forests, with high trees at runway ends that require attention during approach and departure. There is no mandatory radio operator; pilots may need to self-announce and land independently if the frequency is not active. PPR by phone is required a few days in advance. No fuel is available on site. Ground transport to the nearby industrial area (about 2 km) can be arranged with local club members. No standard landing fee is enforced; voluntary donations to the club are accepted instead. For departures, especially with fully loaded aircraft in warm weather, careful calculation of takeoff distance is advised due to obstacles and runway length.
