Strong turbulence can occur in the circuit with winds from the southwest or southeast, which may challenge less experienced pilots. In winter, snow clearance does not occur, so the field may be unavailable after snowfall. Procedures for glider operations include radio coordination for winch launches; the winch light may not be visible from all positions.
