EDNQ is easy to locate and features a friendly, helpful atmosphere. The approach can be challenging due to short downwind and base legs, with steeper final approaches required because of surrounding woods. Each circuit leg must be reported so the tower can activate the traffic light for the road crossing the runway; the road is a useful visual reference when approaching runway 25. The asphalt runway, about 450 meters long, is sufficient for typical general aviation aircraft, but pilots should watch for potholes and consider a short-field takeoff. The first landing is free, with subsequent landings costing €5. Hangar assistance is available and staff are described as very accommodating. Turbulence may occur on westerly approaches in windy conditions, and pilots should land further along the runway to avoid uneven sections near the road crossing.
