Giengen/Brenz Airport (EDNG)

PPR is required and generally handled flexibly. The airfield is a Verkehrslandeplatz with a challenging approach due to topography, especially for runway 17, which involves landing over a wooded ridge onto a sloped runway with a crest; turbulence and wind effects are common on final for both runways. The circuit is not depicted on the DFS approach chart; additional local information is available online. The radio range to the north is limited, so contact may only be possible close to the field. Wind information from flight operations is detailed and helpful.

A small club restaurant offers drinks and snacks, with more extensive service mainly on weekends; there is also a playground. Fuel is available on site. The atmosphere is friendly and supportive, with club members often assisting visitors.
