Dinkelsbuehl Sinbronn Airport (EDND)

EDND is a grass airfield known for its friendly and helpful atmosphere. There is no landing fee; instead, a donation to the aeroclub is welcome but not required. The runway is grass, extended to 850 meters, though the surface can be rough and sometimes uneven or with longer grass. PPR is required, but generally easy to obtain except after heavy rain when the runway may be unusable. Free bicycles are available on site, making it possible to reach Dinkelsbühl in about 20 minutes by bike; by taxi, the town is 7–8 km away with a fare of about €20. Coffee and cake are available at the airfield, sometimes for a small charge. The airfield has a relaxed, welcoming environment with helpful staff and simple facilities. Approaches are generally straightforward, though arrivals from the west may require a late turn onto final due to nearby villages. Mixed operations with helicopters and parachuting are managed well by staff.
