Bergneustadt/Auf Dem Duempel Airport (EDKF)

The grass runway at EDKF is notably undulating, with some areas described as wavy or even slightly uneven, but generally manageable for experienced pilots. Approaches, especially from the east, require attention due to obstacles and the runway profile; departures to the east are best suited to aircraft with good performance. The airfield sits atop a hill and offers scenic views of the surrounding area. Operations are permitted only for "Ortskundige" (pilots familiar with the location). There are no landing fees; a small donation is welcomed instead. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, with club members offering coffee and cake in a relaxed setting.
