The field is known for challenging wind conditions on approach due to its exposed location, making crosswind landings more demanding. Active model flying occurs, sometimes alongside full-size operations. Facilities are basic, with no regular food service or infrastructure beyond coffee and showers. No landing fee; donations are welcomed.
