Hettstadt Airport (EDGH)

EDGH is a small grass airfield near Würzburg with a friendly atmosphere and welcoming staff. The runway is grass, approximately 550 meters long, generally well maintained, though some reports mention it is not completely even and can be a bit bumpy. The circuit pattern requires attention: avoid overflying Hettstadter Hof to the east, and the town of Hettstadt lies to the west, so approaches to 09 and departures from 27 are offset from the runway. PPR is recommended by phone.

The airfield offers both Avgas and Mogas. A small on-field restaurant or café serves food and beverages at reasonable prices and is described as excellent value. The first landing per day for visitors is free of charge. Example: landing fee about €5.

The airfield is operated by the local aero club (Fluggruppe Hermann Köhl Würzburg). The location is about two flight minutes from Würzburg. The airfield is open all day on Saturdays and Sundays.
