Civil Airfield Bad Hersfeld (EDEN)

EDEN operates as a PPR-only airfield managed by a dedicated local flying club. PPR requests are handled promptly, typically via the club website or by phone/email, with clear procedural information provided. A flight director is arranged specifically for arrivals and departures, even outside regular activity, and personal service is emphasized. The airfield features a 670-meter asphalt runway with a noticeable slope (3° gradient), requiring attention during approach and landing; approaches are generally easier than published information suggests. Avgas (100LL) is available on site, and both landing fees and fuel can be paid via AeroPS.

Transfers between the airfield and the town are frequently offered by staff, as walking distance is considerable; taxi or bus options are also available.
