EDCL features a 610 m grass runway in good condition. The airfield is easy to approach, but attention is required due to the directly adjacent restricted area ED-R 71. PPR is required; faxing 039327-93608 is recommended for prior permission, as the operator can be difficult to reach by phone.

Overnight accommodation is available in on-site Schäferwagen and a blockhouse, both described as unique experiences. Ample parking is available, with tie-downs next to accommodations or hangar space as options. The airfield hosts regular events such as Pancake Fly-Ins, typically on weekends, and offers a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.
